We were very fortunate to have absolutely everything to go to plan on our Wedding day, held at Villa Cipressi (Varenna, Lake Como. Italy) and one of the best decisions we made was to use Matteo Cuzzola as our wedding photographer.

As soon as we both met Matteo we were both instantly put at ease with his relaxed, friendly & approachable manner. It was agreed that we would have a roaming photographer approach to the day rather than lots of official poses & this decision, combined with Matteo's incredible eye for detail, left us with images that really captured the spirit of the day & occasionally things we would never have otherwise noticed or remembered. All of our guests commented on how lovely Matteo was to have around in a non-intrusive way & indeed chat to. I believe we had only actually booked Matteo for a certain amount of time, but he stuck with us way beyond the call of duty for the rest of the evening & we were very grateful for that.

The pictures and the wedding album we later received when back in England were truly fantastic and expertly done. Even over email it was a pleasure to deal with Matteo, with him making sure we got everything we expected.

In all I would do nothing but whole heartedly recommend booking Matteo for your wedding or family photographs, he made our day that little bit less stressful and captured the whole day perfectly.

When my husband and I decided to get married in Italy, our main concern was finding the right people to assist us with our special day. Unlike organising a wedding at home, we had nothing but internet recommendations to go on. We discovered Matteo’s website and absolutely loved the relaxed and natural style of his photographs. He promptly responded to my enquiry and offered a good choice of price packages. We had arranged to visit our venue in Lake Como a few months prior to the wedding and Matteo very kindly agreed to meet us in Milan. After our meeting we felt comfortable that Matteo was the right person to photograph our wedding.

On the day of the wedding, Matteo and his assistant Francesca spent an hour in the bridal suite and captured some of the ‘hair and make-up moments’ as we got ready. They were not intrusive or demanding in any way and their relaxed approach continued throughout the day. As a team they were so subtle and we barely noticed they were there half of the time. After our ceremony, we requested a few formal photographs, which I wanted to get through
as quickly as possible. However, Matteo was so calm and made us all laugh - far from the chaos of hunting down the ‘people on this list’ as I’d expected! Later in the day we had organised a boat trip around the lake which again, Matteo was more than happy to attend and capture for us. From a personal point of view, we found Matteo and Francesca to be extremely professional with excellent people skills. So many of our guests commented on how pleasant and friendly they were.

A few weeks after our wedding Matteo emailed us with a slide show containing a selection of our photographs, which was set to music. Not long after that, we received our full collection of photographs on DVD. We couldn’t believe some of the moments he had captured - our Mum’s had disguised their tears well from us but not from Matteo! It was so lovely to see some of the moments we had missed. What also struck me was the unique style of some of the photographs. Some of angles and tilts were so artistic and different, so far away from the usual wedding shots.

To sum up, it was such a pleasure having Matteo as our wedding photographer and we were absolutely thrilled with our photographs. I would not hesitate in recommending him as photographer for your special day.

In august 2010 we got married in Varenna at Lake Como Italy. It was a fairytale. Our weddingplanner in Holland tipped us about Matteo Cuzzola, a photographer from Milano. We checked out his website and we were immediately impressed. At the wedding day Matteo met us in the garden of the hotel. From the first moment he was very calm and likeable, there was a good “click”. First he took some pictures while we were talking in the garden and playing with our children, it was all very relaxed. Then we went with Matteo further into the garden to take some official pictures. He really relaxed us and had a good feeling of what we wanted and liked. Throughout the ceremony Matteo took the usual wedding pictures, but really in his own particular way. What we liked most about the pictures is that Matteo saw things that we didn’t see. For example the picture of our youngest daughter when she puts her thumb into the champagne bottle, that one is great! And of course the black and white pictures, they are astonishing… The special ones are also when the husband is overlooking the shoulder of his wife and the picture in the bubble. Well we can go on a long time like this, we like them all so much! All our friends and family are really taken by these pictures and for us it is such a great memory. Matteo has made something special out of our wedding day and through his photo’s we remember it with even more romantic and loving feelings. Thank you Matteo, we think you are wonderful and we wish you all the health and luck for you and your family and in your work. Your pictures should be displayed all over the world!

"To whom it may concern, Matteo Cuzzola was the photographer for my wedding at Villa Cipressi in Varenna, Lake Como, Italy on the 18th September 2009. The wedding photographer was booked for a 4 hour slot. Both my wife & I were very highly impressed by the level of service given to us by Matteo and his assistant. They turned up ahead of time and spend a good chunk of time with the bride capturing the preparation. During this task he showed us that he was both very patient and professional. The wedding itself was relatively small with 45 guests so it was crucial that the wedding photographer was not overly intrusive. This, in my opinion was one of the facets I was most impressed with Matteo about. He managed to get the necessary shots from the correct locations without having to block other guest’s views or by manipulating other guests out of the way. This was the only time I can remember that wedding guests have mentioned to me how good the photographer was and how well he blended in. Matteo and his assistant were both personable, polite and socialized well whilst doing his job. Just what you want. When it came to the extended photographs of the bride & groom he was able to lead us to great spots for backdrops but at the same time was not demanding or insisting on any particular shot. We both felt guided but at the same time had freedom to choose what photos we did and didn’t want. I have been at many wedding parties where a boisterous photographer was demanding with a lot of the guests and barking orders for people placement but we saw none of this with Matteo. After the event we were quickly informed that a sample of the photos were available on line at his website and he followed up with a full DVD of the entire range of photos. All were available in high def or low definition along with a slideshow. The photos themselves were fantastic and captured both the traditional wedding shots as well as some great unexpected natural photos as well. We are very proud to show these photos to our friends and family. In summary we were both extremely happy with the service we received from Matteo, both for his time at the event and also the quality of the photographs provided. I can thoroughly recommend his services to anyone out there who is planning a wedding and I’m sure he’s just as capable at other events to.

"We chose Matteo based on web research prior to arriving in Italy from the US. We arranged all of the details via email and skype prior to arrival in Italy and then met with him in person a couple of days before. We could not have been happier with his work! Matteo took such beautiful and creative shots that far exceeded our expectations. We received the photos promptly after the wedding as promised and the website was such a treat for our family. Since the birth of our daughter we had been planning to have a photo session together to preserve those wonderful moments.
Our main goal was to have pictures that were able to convey the joy and harmony that our daughet gave us.
When we saw our pictures for the first time, we were astonished to see that they were effectively able to give us and our families those feelings.

We have realized that this was possible for two reasons. First of all there is no doubt that Matteo is a skilled photographer. Not only he takes wonderful pictures, but also he brings out unnoticed details and makes them appear as breathtaking pictures. Besides we want to mention one thing that in our opinion really mattered. During the photo shoot Matteo was able to establish immediately an excellent connection with us: he made us feel comfortable, he gave us instructions to bring out the best in us, and above all he handled very well our 4-month baby by being sensitive and giving us all the time to take care of her.

We recommend Matteo to all of the people that want not only to take beautiful pictures but also to capture those unforgettable moments of the life.
